Nothing says summer like delicious, juicy peaches and of course, a fruity and refreshing sangria!
I added frozen raspberries to add a bit a zing to the sweetness of the peaches!
1 bottle of good Pinot Grigio, chilled
1 cup Peach Schnapps: *please make sure this is one is true German Schnapps - the American one is made with grain alcohol and flavoring. German Schnapps is made by fermenting fruits.
1 can cling peaches, chilled - do not discard the syrup
3 fresh peaches, sliced
1 cup frozen raspberries, to serve
In a large pitcher, combine the wine and Schnapps.
Using a hand blender, blender or food processor, puree the can of peaches WITH the syrup it came in and add the puree the wine mixture.
Stir in the sliced fresh peaches.
Stir well and chill until ready to serve. To serve add 1/4 cup frozen raspberries to each glass and pour the sangria over.
