Happy Birthday, America!

There is a new and beautiful, magical trend happening: Blue Matcha!

We have all heard of matcha, it seems to be in every recipe! But who doesn't love a glorious vivid blue color which is completely natural? It is chock full of antioxidants, is a notable nerve tonic, and provides support to the digestive, circulatory, and central nervous systems. It has long been used in Ayurvedic traditions to support memory, balanced mood, and a healthy immune system.

Ingredients

1-14 ounce can of sweetened condensed milk

3 cups heavy cream, very cold

1/4 cup raspberry jam

2 teaspoons vanilla extract, Are Extracts Gluten-Free?

3 teaspoons Blue Matcha Powder

Directions

  1. Place a metal loaf pan in the freezer.

  2. Divide the sweetened condensed milk equally into three medium bowls. Stir the raspberry jam into one and the vanilla extract into another.

  3. Using an electric mixer, whip two cups of the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.

  4. Divide the whipped cream between the bowls with jam mixture and vanilla mixture. Gently fold until combined.

  5. In the same bowl you whipped the heavy cream in, measure out the 3 teaspoons of Blue Matcha Powder. Add the cream and whip until still peaks form. Set aside.

  6. Remove the metal loaf pan from the freezer and lay it on its side.

  7. Gently spoon in the raspberry cream across one side. Smooth with the back of a spoon. Gently top with the vanilla cream and the blue matcha cream.

  8. Place the pan flat on the counter and tap a few times to settle.

  9. Cover and freezer for at least 6 hours.

  10. God Bless America!
