Gluten-Free Pomegranate Apple Sangria

You guessed it! More apple incorporation! This is a lovely little treat to be enjoyed this autumn with all the flavors of fall!


1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup water

1 pomegranate, seeded

1 apple, cored and chopped

1 tangerine, halved and sliced thin

1 cinnamon stick

1 bottle of your favorite red wine - I used Dark Horse merlot

1 1/2 cups pomegranate juice

1 1/2 cups apple cider

1/4 cup brandy

1/4 cup triple sec


  1. Heat the honey and water in a small sauce pan until they are melted together.

  2. Put the prepared fruit and cinnamon stick into the bottom of a large pitcher. Pour the honey mixture over the fruit.

  3. Pour in the wine, pomegranate juice, apple cider, brandy and triple sec.

  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 12 hours. Serve in heavy wine glasses.

  5. Drink responsibly!
