So heres a little story to make your day.
I had tons of running around one day. It was really hot outside, and I was trying to remember everything on my shopping list and to-do list.
After carefully checking my grocery list, I was sure I got everything I needed.
Starting driving home.
Got some lucky good tunes on the radio.
Traffic was minimal.
The sun was shining finally!
Got home, gave the dog his obligatory kisses, belly scratches, etc.
Unpacked the groceries.
WHERE IS THE SWEETENED CONDENSED MILK?
I swear I got everything on the list!!!
Check the list....
Ohh....it wasn't even on the list.
Well. FINE. I'LL JUST MAKE IT THEN.
Here goes:

Ingredients
4 cups whole milk
1 1/3 cups sugar
Directions
In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and milk.
Stir over low heat until the sugar has dissolved.
Increase heat to medium-ish (You need a decent simmer happening)
DO NOT STIR. Simmer for about 45 minutes. DO NOT STIR. You can gently remove the "scum" that comes to the top of the milk, but DO NOT STIR.
Condensed milk will be ready when the color starts to turn a yellowish and thickens slightly. Cool completely before transferring into a jar and storing in the refrigerator.
